What you see here is just my MacBook with a split screen between my Notion worksheet/playbook (which has a lot of prompts and things I can copy-paste) and Claude. I’ll talk more about why I’m using Claude. What you’re seeing is a Claude project, which is a paid feature. Everything I’m going to do, you can do with the free version of Claude or the free version of OpenAI ChatGPT. The analog on OpenAI is a Custom GPT. I think Claude projects are way more suited to what I’m going to show you, but everything that I’m showing can be transferred and is totally portable. At the project level, I have a set of custom instructions - this is the equivalent of a system prompt. It’s basically how I want my copilot to behave, how I want it to interact with me, and what values and principles I want it to use when pushing me in different directions. What you also see here is called “Project Knowledge” - it’s basically everything that I would want to share with a new PM that just joined the team. Imagine it’s the first day on the job of a new hire. What would you give that person? What docs, slide decks? When you take them to coffee, what would you tell them the inside scoop is? That’s the kind of context for any initiative that I work with my copilot. Every time I start an initiative, it already has all this context and these behaviors. ➡️ Think of your copilot like onboarding a new team member - the more context you give it about how your company works, the better it becomes at helping with every project.
